
what is edpuzzle and what is it used for?
Edpuzzle is a great way for educators to share videos with their students, as well as test their knowledge along the way. It was founded in 2013 by a group of former teachers who thought it would be a great tool for educators to reinforce lessons to their students in and outside of the school walls. Edpuzzle is available on the app store and online, making it easily accessible to students in whatever their situation is. edpuzzle has lots of advantages for users. Videos can be taken from YouTube or directly uploaded. Open-ended questions or notes can be put into the videos at any point. Students’ viewing of the video can also be tracked.
if you want to use it for your own class, you should follow the steps below.
firstly, you should sign up for the application.
Adding a class
to add a class, click on the “My Classes” tab at the top of the screen. then, click on “Add Class”
now, name your class, write a short description for your class, state the grade and the subject.
here is your class. Students can make an EDpuzzle student account using their Gmail account. To have students access the interactive video content, they need to be invited to the class
and join it. Click on the “Invite your students” button and a window will pop up with a link that can
be copied and sent to students.
When they click that link, they will be able to join the classroom and view any of the content
that has been posted to it.
To delete a class, access the the class options tab and click on the “Remove Class” button.
adding content

with just a simple click on "content"; Videos can be Searched by typing text into the search bar, added via URL by typing or pasting it in the search bar, uploaded from a computer file by clicking the “Upload” button. After selecting a video, click on it and select the “Use it” button.
editing videos

The video can now be edited. At any point during the editing process, progress can be saved
by clicking on the green “Save” button. When navigating between editing options, EDpuzzle will
automatically save the lesson, however, it is still a good idea to save often, especially if doing a
lot of editing. Then, edit the video to give assignments to your students. ... also, you can ask lots of questions regarding the subject.
for example, let's suppose that the subject is modal verbs. here is the video in which modal verbs are explained in detail. also, in some parts, some questions regarding the subject are asked.
then you can Assign the video to your students and check their progress in real-time while they learn at their own pace.
